Tiny Analysis of the Australian GP

A great race, Button drove well and made good choices, with some good fortune thrown in, Hamiltons second stop was a team call covering off the options that Webber and Rosberg may be a big threat, a smart move by the team, to maximise their chance of winning they had the leading one stop car and the leading two stop car. If Hamilton felt so strongly he shold have argued to stay out, it's easy to moan after the event. Red Bull fast but fragile, Vettel I would say is hard on the car as well so will always be prone to breaking it more than others, it's all part of the game, roll on next week. Is Vettel the new Kimi?

Vettel has driven previously for BMW(07) and STR (08) and both his team principals were Tough cookies, and Franz Toast can even be considered as "Unreasonable". If his driving style was that agressive, they would have raised the flag anyways.

This is just the British Press at work stirring the pot and starting the rumor mill, like they have done always in the past.

Person about whom we should talk is the British Designer of the Redbull car, who has been made so holy, that a word against him is akin to blasphemy in F1 world

  2. On different note raise this question
Q - Is Lewis the Juan Pablo?
A - Lewis's Oz'10 drive had JPM stamped all over it, same agression, same hurry to make up places, same outburst against strategy call (while driving).
It would be interesting to see how Martin Whitmarsh (whom I have always considered fair boss at Woking) handles this situation. On one hand he has Button (who as per his latest revelation was his pick ahead of Kimi Raikkonen), who drove a composed drive to win team a race in his second outing for the team, in a car which is not yet a match for Redbull/Ferrari on Speed.
And on other hand he has Lewis who was essentially Denni's Pet project, whose mistakes team has covered many times in his short F1 career( Brazil'07, Fuji'08, Oz'09, Monza'09), for whose Title win Ron even compromised team title (twice 07-08).

So how long will Martin continue to handle this lose canon :-?

  3. If a loose canon brings the monies in, I am sure it wont be such a handling issue really.
McLaren will be pleased that they have two drivers who are sure shot winners as opposed to Mercedes and Redbull who have just one proven winner. I rate Webber highly, just don’t think he is a championship material, and Nico's still got to prove that he can win races.
Neweys designs have always had the fragileness about them which has cost Kimi his world titles. When I meant by Vettel being the new Kimi I was referring to the bad luck and the designer boss aspect of it.
