Ferrari will be my last team - Alonso

So Alonso has continued with his tradition of adding a personal emotional twist to the team he joins eh? For once I think he is right, and as long as he remains in the good books of the top bosses, which I dont see a problem with, he would be on top of his game. His and Hamiltons recent comments show that they are back to their childish games and it makes reading the press so interesting.
During his tenure at McLaren, having the team boss against him, in 2007, he produced mega drives. Spa was surely one of his best drives when the spy gate was at his worst and the entire team was all against him. In every single session he beated the wonderboy on a men's circuit where you needed bravery and a big heart. One can argue that Alonso would have clinched the title had McLaren given him the advantage, but the argument hold true for Hamilton as well.
Alonso to me is the true blue Ferrari driver. Thinker, aggressive and brillant even with dog of a car. He can keep the Tofosi happy even when the team comes up with a dud for a car and when he is on a song, there is no one in the paddock who can hold a candle to him, with the exception of Hamilton and Vettel.
I hope he finds his feet at Ferrari soon and we have a great 2010 season.

  1. He would have won 2007 Championship,if certain arrogant fool had listened to the team radio and let Alonso through. That Grid Penalty was the differentiating factor.

As you have correctly documented, to have delivered what he delivered with Majority McLaren team against him and team boss making comments like "We were not racing Kimi,we were racing Nando", Shows his single minded focus when he is in Car on the track.
If only the British team had handled him properly and his Younger team-mate kept his aspirations in Check and team priorities in top(given that the team had practically raised him from age 11).

How Yamaha Handled Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo this season to give both of them satisfaction of performing at peak, getting returns for their efforts and team backing them properly.

Well whatever has happened, has happened, hope the story is not repeated with Button-Hamilton and team has learned it lesson and Martin Whitmarsh handles things better than Ron.

You remember my talks about drivers way back from 2003 season. And over the years my opinions about Alonso has changed. In current format of F1, he is the complete "F1 driver"
Vettel will take that title from him.

Hamilton is "Racer" just blessed enough to have his team cover him when he goofs up on and off track.
While Button has never impressed me,I am secretly hoping Button outshines Hamilton this year. It would be interesting to see how McLaren handle the situation and more importantly how the Hamiltons handle the situation.

Earlier they had tried two timing with Williams when Ron was not ready to give Lewis a race seat. Now they will hobnob with Mercedes (assuming Michael's comeback is temperory).

I think every successful driver has a team covering up his on track antics. From the legendary Schumacher to Alonso (and he had some silly and dangerous moments), they've all had their share of "support".
The 2007 championship was McLarens to loose and loose they did thanks to an ignorant team principal, an arrogant driver and a young hot shot.
